Grain LNG: Invested in employee wellbeing

The challenges that support the workforce

The company

Grain LNG is the UK’s leading gateway connecting global LNG to the European energy market via cost effective, flexible and secure capacity.

The motivation

After taking part in several Race At Your Pace challenges and experiencing the many benefits, Grain LNG has now made participation a key element of their health and wellbeing strategy. The team continue to commit to completing three challenges each year, with the most recent one held in July.

The challenge

Grain’s latest challenge, branded their ‘Summer Shape Up,’ set the company a healthy collective goal of 2,591 miles as they travelled virtually around the UK. With all activity types available, participants were free to choose the exercise that suited them best – helping them stay engaged and motivated throughout the month.

To add an element of friendly competition, participants were divided into teams and spurred on with in-house awards along the way, as well as the promise of Race At Your Pace trophies for the top performers! Progress could be tracked on the custom map created for the July challenge, with a fresh route and design introduced for every new challenge Grain LNG undertakes.

  • It’s your own race, set yourself a challenge so that you can succeed. Walking is always a first thought now, rather than jumping in the car!

  • I loved the fact I could change the activity depending on what I was doing each day.
